BUSECO District Assembly in Lantapan – Successful!

The Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) is certain of that involvement of its Member Consumer Owners (MCOs) is very important for the furtherance of the cooperative. It is worth noting that one of BUSECO flagship programs is Member Consumer Empowerment Program (MCEP) of which aims to involve MCOs from the grass roots level to the operation of the cooperative for them to be empowered and be able to appreciate the cause of the cooperative.

On April 18, 2015, BUSECO conducted its 8th Annual District Assembly for the District of Lantapan. The program was formally opened with BUSECO Prayer followed by National and Provincial Anthem. Mr. Julian V. Rubio, BMCEC Federation Chairman then formally opened the assembly. Delegates were acknowledged and welcomed by MSEAC Chairman Mr. Marcelino M. Bagares.

Branch Manager for Malaybalay Branch, Ms. Melchie R. Nacalaban, gave the Overview and Background of the Annual District Assembly to set the expectations of the participants. Honorable Mayor Godofredo I. Balansag, Honorable Vice-Mayor Ernie Devivar and Director Dioscora G. Ngoho conveyed their message to the assembly.

To apprise the MCOs of the status of the cooperative, no less than General Manager Deiter Hoff P. Arellano, CPA, MBA presented the BUSECO 2014 Accomplishments and 2015 priority targets. Corporate Communication Officer Theresa M. Justaga expounded the Power Supply Situation of BUSECO and its Impact to MCOs for better understanding.

Moreover, Engr. Roseller M. Salise, ETSD Manager also tackled Sitio Electrification Updates and Synchronized Barangay Line Clearing. Mr. Florgene Sumintan, HRAS Chief discussed the Medical and Bereavement Assistance for well grasp of the MCOs.

An open forum facilitated by Mr. Agripino Mangaron, CWMODS Chief was then in placed to ensure that all concerns of the MCOs represented by Multi Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) and Barangay Member Consumer Electrification Council (BMCEC) were properly addressed. The program was formally closed by Ms. Virginia Palarca MSEAC of Poblacion, Lantapan. The assembly was hosted by Lady Dean Ms. Melinda Fantonial. The assembly was duly attended by ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­326 MCOs.
