BUSECO supports and celebrates Labor Day

 

The Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) values considerable its human capital. The cooperative believes that one of the greatest factors of BUSECO’s success and accomplishments is owed from one of the three pillars, the Management and Staff which comprises of its personnel. BUSECO recognized that with the love and hard work of its workforces, the cooperative was able to attain and sustain its status as a Triple A Electric Cooperative despite the challenges in the power industry.

 

To show its genuine recognition, BUSECO celebrated Labor Day with the theme: ” Sa Sipag, Tiyaga, at Talino, Buong Mundo Saludo sa Manggagawang Pilipino!”, on May 1, 2014 at Mangima, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The celebration was started with a tree planting at Mangima Canyon which was participated by all men employees in Manolo Fortich Branch with the lead of no less than General Manager, Deiter Hoff P. Arellano, CPA, MBA together with the Executive Committee.

 

A short program was then facilitated with the presence of 174 employees of the cooperative. It was formally opened by Mr. Florgene Sumintan, Human Resource and Administrative Division Chief. GM Arellano at that juncture gave his inspirational message to BUSECO employees through thanking everyone for doing its duties wholeheartedly which contributed much to the worth noted accomplishments of the cooperative and encouraging everyone to do more and to actively participate to all BUSECO’s undertakings for the betterment of the cooperative. Director Alex Payangga also shared a message emphasizing the importance of the celebration. BUSECO Employees and Labor Union (BELU) representative, Mr. Sabas Ragandang, Jr. then challenged all Partners and Associates to be part of the union to strengthen the organization.

 

Since majority of the employees of the cooperative was present during that day, election for Board of Directors for BUSECO Solidarity Marketing Cooperative (BSMC) was facilitated. To further strengthen the unity and solidarity of the Partners and Associates, team building activities was then conducted. The celebration started at 6 o’clock in the morning and concluded at 3:15 in the afternoon.

 

This simply manifests the sincerity of the cooperative in ensuring that the welfare of its workforces is promoted. BUSECO believes that by continuously doing the same undertakings, solidarity amongst its partners and associates will be upheld which such is very vital with the cooperative’s dream of becoming a World Class Organization.
