BUSECO successfully conducts its 2nd SOBA

With the continual reverie of empowering its valued Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) and its Stakeholders, the Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) endeavors to update all concerns of the cooperative’s status. BUSECO gives emphasis on proper information dissemination to ensure all stakeholders understand the cause of the cooperative as a movement and such would be a great help for BUSECO in achieving its dream of becoming a World Class Organization.

On February 11, 2015, BUSECO successfully held its 2nd State of BUSECO Address (SOBA) at BUSECO RQIM Hall, Main Office, Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The SOBA was formally started with the BUSECO Prayer, followed by the singing of National Anthem and Provincial Anthem. A welcome address was then given by Honorable Board Member Clive N. Quino in behalf of the municipal mayor Honorable Rogelio N. Quino. Director of Manolo Fortich, Alex Payannga then formally open the program with his opening remark. BOD Vice President then duly recognized the attendees of the 2nd SOBA. Without further ado, General Manager Deiter Hoff P. Arellano delivered the State of BUSECO Address through presenting the 2014 Accomplishments and 2015 Priority Targets. GM Arellano stressed out that the 2014 Accomplishment will not be realized without the unity and cooperation of the three pillars, namely: the Member Consumer Owners represented by MSEAC and BMCEC, the Board of Directors and the Management Staff together with the Partners and Associates.

Ms. Myrla Roldan, representative of Honorable Congressman Florencio Flores, 1st District of Bukidnon Representative then delivered the message of Cong. Flores to BUSECO as it held its 2nd SOBA. Honorable Congresswoman Malou Acosta-Alba at that juncture expressed her appreciation to BUSECO for holding such activity for the good of the MCOs and for aiming of becoming a World Class Organization which she emphasized very vital with the ASEAN integration. Atty. Rhett Roswell Mislang also gave his message to BUSECO in behalf of the Energy Regulatory Commission and commended GM Arellano for not just settling with greater BUSECO but for dreaming of greater Bukidnon. Engr. Nilo Geroche of the Department of Energy also shared his message to BUSECO.GM Arellano then read the message of Honorable Congressman Edgardo Rama Masongsong. Director Edwin Galicia formally closed the first Part of the SOBA.

In the afternoon, several topics were tackled for better appreciation and understanding of the MCOs, to wit: BUSECO’s Power Supply Plan and its impact to MCOs; BUSECO Sitio Electrification Program (SEP); BUSECO Financial Assistance and Procedures; Party and Movement Building; and BOD Qualification Requirements. Open Forum was facilitated by MSEAC President at the same time PR Man of BUSECO, Mr. Rolando Galarrita. Having all the questions answered, the afternoon session was concluded.

BUSECO is glad to be able to conduct its 2nd SOBA successfully and able to achieve its very objective to inform and update its Stakeholders. BUSECO wishes to thanks all the MCOs, BMCECs and MSEACs for their unwavering support to BUSECO manifested by their overwhelming attendance; to Cong. Malou Acosta, Cong. Flores represented by Mr. Maghano, Vice Gov. Calingasan represented by Ms. Roldan, Board Member Clive Quino, Mayor dela Rosa, Mayor Uy, Mayor Inocando, to our Power Suppliers, AMRECO and FIBECO for finding time to attend our SOBA; to our BOD headed by Pres. Eligio C. David Jr. and to all Partners and Associates for the undying support to make our 2nd SOBA very successful.

This simply manifests the cooperative’s sincere endeavor to inform, educate and empower its Member Consumer Owners and its genuine support to Member Consumer Empowerment Program (MCEP) which is also very important while BUSECO steps closer to its dream of becoming a World Class Organization in the near future.
