With the strong determination of the cooperative to become a World Class Organization in the near future, continuously training and capability building of its human capital is of prime importance. By relentlessly enhancing their potential and capacities, BUSECO believes that soon its dream as mentioned will be surely realized.
On May 19, 2014, a Regulatory Rate Making Seminar was conducted at BUSECO Training Center. The whole day Seminar was participated by Fifteen (15) Members of the Management Committee (ManCom).
Amongst of the topic discussed were: (1) Republic Act 9136 otherwise known as Electric Power Industry and Reform Act of 2001 which was discussed by Engr. Orville Loking of the Corporate Planning and Utility Economics Division; (2) Electrical Power System and Primary Metering which was tackled by Engr. Julius Demata, Planning, Design and Construction Division Chief; (3) Interim Mindanao Electricity Market (IMEM) discussed by Engr. Christian Murillo, Power Trading Officer; and lastly (4) Power Rates by Ms. Hazel Campugan, Rates Analyst.
BUSECO finds necessary that every member of the committee will undergo seminar with the abovementioned topics to ensure that each has the same perspective of the cooperative’s direction with the highly dynamic power industry. Also, this will aid the ManCom to understand better and appreciate the industry structure as a whole, the recent developments as well as the power rates especially how such was being derived.
This simply shows the sincerity of the cooperative for the total development of its work forces. It is with BUSECO’s conviction that with the continuing human development, realization of its dream of becoming a World Class Organization will be hasten.
Onwards and Soar High BUSECO!
